Infantis28 App Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Infantis28 mobile application and related caregiver services. It does not replace any additional privacy information supplied for a specific institutional programme.

1. Provider and scope

Infantis28 is provided by Econalis Group LLC, doing business as Econalis Global, a Virginia limited liability company. On Google Play, the developer may be displayed as Econalis Technologies. “Infantis28,” “we,” “our” and “us” refer to Econalis Group LLC.

2. Our commitments

  • We do not sell personal information or newborn health information.
  • We do not use newborn health information for targeted advertising.
  • We do not use personal or newborn health information to train public or general-purpose AI models.
  • We collect and use information only for stated service, safety, security and legal purposes.

3. Information we process

Account and caregiver information. Name, email address, authentication information, country, language, caregiver role, preferences and support communications.

Newborn and care information. Information an adult caregiver chooses to enter, which may include the baby’s name, date of birth or age, birth details, feeding, diapers, sleep, temperature, weight, symptoms, immunisations, appointments, notes and other observations.

Ask Infantis. Questions submitted to Ask Infantis and the limited context needed to generate a response. Depending on the feature configuration, this may include the baby’s name, age in days and a current health summary. We design this flow not to include the caregiver’s contact details, precise location or the baby’s full date of birth in the AI request.

Location and environmental information. With device permission, Infantis28 may access location coordinates to return relevant weather, climate and air-quality information. Location is not used for advertising. Infantis28 does not intentionally add precise coordinates to the caregiver or baby profile solely because this feature is used.

Technical and usage information. App version, device and operating-system information, feature interactions, general device country, performance information, crash reports, diagnostic logs and security events. We configure analytics and error monitoring to minimise personal and health information.

4. Why we use information

  • To create and secure accounts and synchronise information when connectivity returns.
  • To provide tracking, summaries, reminders, informational guidance and sharing features requested by caregivers.
  • To provide Ask Infantis and relevant environmental information.
  • To communicate about accounts, security, support and service changes.
  • To operate, troubleshoot, protect and improve the service.
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms and protect users and the public.

5. Service providers and data flows

Supabase. Authentication, database and storage. Processes account and caregiver-entered information. Our current project is hosted in the European Union (Ireland).

Anthropic. Generates Ask Infantis responses through an API. Processes the question and limited contextual information described above. API data is handled under commercial terms that do not permit use of customer API inputs and outputs to train public models.

PostHog. Product analytics. Processes technical and feature-interaction events, app version and general device information. Health-log content should not be placed in analytics events.

Sentry. Error monitoring and reliability. Processes crash reports, stack traces and related technical context. Personal information is minimised and scrubbing controls are used.

Resend. Transactional email. Processes email address, name where supplied, message content and delivery information needed to send service communications.

Environmental-data providers. Weather and air-quality providers, including OpenWeatherMap and the World Air Quality Index Project where enabled, process location coordinates needed to return local conditions. Their request logs are governed by their own policies.

Google Play and Apple. App distribution and, where applicable, purchases. These platforms process information under their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or rights, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Offline use and storage

Some features are designed to work offline. Information may be stored on the device and synchronised with our systems when a connection becomes available. Anyone with access to an unlocked device may be able to view locally available information, so caregivers should use device security controls.

7. Retention, deletion and de-identified information

We retain account and service information while an account is active and for only as long afterward as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including security, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Caregivers can request account deletion in the app or through our external deletion page. Account deactivation is not treated as deletion.

Following a verified deletion request, we delete or irreversibly de-identify associated personal information from active systems, subject to limited information that must be retained for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes and residual copies removed through ordinary backup cycles. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify a caregiver or child. We do not attempt to re-identify it.

8. Rights and choices

Depending on location, caregivers may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or obtain a portable copy. Location permission can be changed in device settings. Email preferences can be managed through the message or by contacting us. We may verify identity before acting on a request.

9. Children’s information

Infantis28 is intended for adult caregivers and is not offered for use by children. Information about a baby or child is entered by an adult caregiver who represents that they are authorised to provide and manage it. If you believe a child has created an account or submitted information without appropriate adult involvement, contact us.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access controls, secure authentication practices and monitoring. No internet or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International processing

Information may be processed in the United States, European Union and other countries where we or our providers operate. We use safeguards required by applicable law for international transfers.

12. Institutional programmes

When an organisation provides Infantis28 through a programme, that organisation may be a controller of programme information and Infantis may act as its processor or service provider. Additional notices, consent materials and contractual data-processing terms may apply and will identify the relevant roles.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect service, legal or operational changes. We will change the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions and requests may be sent to support@infantis28.org.
